phone anxiety

So it is a widely known fact that I do NOT text - in fact I'm downright cell phone challenged. But since I have been home I have revelled in the fact that I do not need a phone; and as such, I often do not charge or even remember to take it with me. Well just around Christmas my little cheap-as-they-come flip phone called it quits, so of course I speedily replaced it.... 4 1/2 weeks later (sorry if you've been trying to get a hold of me:)

My sweet hubby says to me, well we've been thinking about getting a new plan and nixing our land line... so off to Best Buy we go.

We walk in and a sweet young girl name Vivi comes up to greet us (sidenote** she has Definitely NOT had 3 kids) but once I got over my self consciousness, standing beside a size -2 nothing, waife of a sales girl... she kindly starts her sales pitch.....we listened. Right in the middle Travis asks her if they have good plans for texting. She smiles and asks how often he uses this feature. He replies that he hates using it, but his drug dealers wont use any other form of communique. A little embarrassed (we haven't mentioned his job yet) I look up to see her reaction, without skipping a beat she pulls out her brochure and proceed to show us the plans available. Still completely unfazed she shows us some features on a fancy new touch-screen phone, and I kid you not it goes something like this:

"The GPS gives you turn by turn instruction, let me show you. If I type in my home address it will start here at best buy and take me down to center...."

ok I have to say something. Laughingly I mention "you may not want to show complete strangers where you live, especially if they have already divulged that they speak with drug dealers on a daily basis."

Yeah, now I've got her attention.

We only let her squirm for a minute before we let on that Travis is a cop... but hey we got a great deal on our phones and even some free accessories besides... maybe she didn't want to chance it?

Call me on my home to get my new cell - or e-mail me. The home phone will be no more in a week :)

So you are late to conform huh? I'm so glad you guys finally joined the technology age! At least you already had a computer!

I REALLY like LG phones, I've had them for 5 years. Great choice!

When do you find out the gender of baby Anderson? I'm dying to find out!
