happy holidays!!!

Sorry - I know it's late but happy thanksgiving everyone!!! I have been... well...sick so, yeah, blogging not too high on the list of importance!! But hey a quick update.

Good Things Utah was very fun! They were soo nice and I had a great time with a few friends and my sister - in fact they asked us to come back - I'll be on again next week (on the 8th) we are trying out a payment program for them that manages your money. So that could be fun - anyone who couldn't make the first trip feel free to tag along this time!

Thanksgiving was super fun! (except for all the food - yuck!!!) it was so nice to see everyone - I had to share this cute pic of luca and trav - so cute!!!

wish you all the best - I'll write again - I swear! :)

be careful what you wish for.... :)

So for those of you who haven't heard from my mom or sister... I'm going to be pretending to be a host on Good Things Utah on the 25th of this month. They had a little contest thing, and asked people to send in some questions that they'd like to hear the hosts answer. Well - I watch these gals quite often folding laundry and of course had a few questions that I thought up. I figured I'd email them in and maybe get a free gift or something.... Next thing I knew they called and asked if I'd come in and interview Reagan Leadbetter on air with some of my questions. I guess they are doing this with each host all week long...SO if you'd like to come - we're leaving SUPER early to head up and be in the audience, I will get to be onstage for like 2 minutes, but it should be fun! ( I still need someone to take my kids :) I'm not too sure I'm looking forward to being yucky pregnant on TV (doesn't the camera add like 30 ponds!) but I go and hope I'm not too scary! Of course all the ladies on the show are like a size 2! Oh well - wish me luck!

ok... so the transformation is complete

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah.... I know what you're thinking... A VAN!!! But hey I have 2 kids and another on the way... it was time. AND you should take a drive in it, it's as comfortable in the pilot chairs as it is in the front seat! Travis went out and found the best deal and a great ride! (Gideon just loves it because "it has a TV")So thanks sweetheart, I never thought I'd get so excited over a mini-van :)lol

Yes we're very excited! Gideon wants it to be a boy, because "Dad says we wont have more kids if it's a girl" but the chinese calandar (95% accurate) says we can expect our first girl.... so we'll see. Yes Travis does say he is done of we get a little girl, Buuuuuuuttttt we all know how good he is at telling me no... so we'll see! Lots of love to you all- natalie :)

butter anyone....

So after a month of prep including wallpaper removal, hours of putty and sanding, 3 coats of primer and a coat of white paint to get the family room ready at my mothers farm house home (over 100 years old) we finally got to paint it the golden safari tan we picked out. Much to our chagrin.... instead of a nice tan with golden undertones.... we got crayola yellow!!!!! Now folks this is not my first time around the disco when it comes to painting - I have never had a paint turn on me like this glaze did!!!! So today we start back, working to tone it down.... wish us luck! We need this done by THE END OF THE WEEK!!! Pray for us! :)

School Daze!!!

Ok so he's off to school! So scary!!!! I can't believe how excited he is! Mom - not so much! We took him for his first day yesterday (monday) and he had such a good time. He and his friend Aiden dressed alike for the first day - they looked so cute. Luca really missed his big brother! When I picked him up - they were so cute in the back seat, hugging each other and telling each other how much they missed each other! I loved it! Time to let go, Mom.... he's getting bigger!

Some Sundays Rock!

we had so much fun on Sunday! My mom and sisters came by for some good food, fun and a great water fight!!! We got a little camera happy so I just grabbed a few to show you the day "in a nutshell" (note - I had a water fight so I look a bit scary!!!)

Oh and there is 1 pic in there from Saturday - my sisters took me rafting down the Provo river (no good pics - couldn't get the camera wet) I had such a great time!! even though, I'm not much of a rafter! (you should see my burnt legs ;)

Last hurah before school!

Well it is finally here - our oldest is going to school, but before we sent him on his next adventure, Trav and I took him out for a special "alone day" with his parents - he wanted to go to Bridal Vail Falls so heres a few pics from our awesome day at the falls!

Family Fun

Wow what a crazy last couple of weeks; we haven't stopped! We have had so much fun... so to get you up to speed ... hmmm, the Clark Planetarium, Outdoor Market in SLC, Cabelas, Lagoon - twice, swimming, hiking to the Grotto, major shopping and getting ready for school - (I'm probley missing something but - hey what can you do... right?) So here's a few pics (not as many as I'd like, I lost another camera.... yeah I know I'm a camera serial killer - but I got a new one for my anniversary... so here's a few from the last few days!) Enjoy

Run Bambi, Run!

Trav's Dad got a deer! (just a little one though) I guess the poor thing had a death wish - he just kept running after Dad - what could he do? :) But at least, they got one to show for the only weekend they get this year Poor guys - life is just too crazy this summer - they won't get to go out again! :(

8 year anniversary

Wow! For our anniversary Trav took me to Park city for a romantic over-night at the Silverado Lodge in the Canyons. It was soo amazing!! (my camera broke so my pics stinks - sorry) We had the nicest little suite, and went to the olympic park! So amazing! We also ate at the RuthsChris (so yummy!) and had the most amazing dinner! I had a great time, it was nice to get away! 8 years have flown by! I love that man of mine!!

My angels

I can't believe how alike they look in this pic!! I just had to stick this on here! ;)

Lone Ranger

Travis took the boys out for a company party last night. (mom was at camp with her activity girls group)

Gideon was a real "cowboy" playing football and running around with a cap gun in his hands at all times! Trav said it was funny to watch him tackle the other players and take the ball, all while holding the ball in one hand and the gun in the other! Then to top off the night, he went horse back riding.... all night long, Trav said it was impossible to get him to come off the horse. He loved it! So cute! Apparantly Luca wasn't so brave he just wanted to play on the slide all night. He didn't seem to trust the horse, so poor Travis, he didn't get to ride at all! It ain't easy being daddy!

Fishy Fun!

Who knew Red Lobster would turn into a photo moment. Gideon was so excited, he got to pick out a "fighting" lobster from the tank and seemed completely stoked about the concept that he was going to kill and eat this interesting creature. In fact he said he wanted to get one for a pet- yeah right:)

So then he and Luca played with this poor Lobster on the floor of the restaurant before our incredible witer took him back to "the pot". I died when I saw Gideon with this huge thing in front out him! He looked like Christmas Morning. I can't believe he ate the WHOLE THING, all 1 1/2 pounds!!! We had thought we'd help him out (thus making the expense worth it - yeah right!) So he finishes up, all proud of himself, then in classic Gideon style he leans over to his Dad and asks, "Can I have some more of your shrimp?" I died right there. It was classic. Poor Travis he barely got anything for luch, Luca ate 3 of his scallops, an entire skewer or his shrimp and Gidster took another shrimp. Leaving Travis with 3 or 4 shrimps and his salad for lunch! My boys.... I luv 'em so much!

my calves are killing me.....

So in an attempt to get my fat a.. in shape, I signed up for a fitness boot camp this week... it was awesome!! I can't believe how hard he worked us! I had such a good time. We had 4 workouts in 2 days (I had to miss 1) but he was brutal, but not to the point where you wanted to quit, it was motivating! Just you wait.... I love being healthy again! I have had sooooo much fun getting myself back in shape! I don't miss my gallbladder - at all! I have felt soo much better since the surgery! So all of you guys out there... just wait and see..... ;)

a little something sweet for a sweet somthing

My first traditional quilt is done!!!! It took about 50 + hours and you don't want to know how many dollars... :) but sweet little sophie has her blanket of love from Auntie Natalie ( I want to be the favorite aunt ! he he ) I loved making this fun pattern and picking out all the colors! it was great!! Now I should get started on one for Helga - she's not pregnant yet, but a quilt takes me at least a year so I need to hurry! (we all know it won't be long)

28 stimks... I really am old!

Well, my birthday came in with a roar this year. The night before, I was up with the big whammy of all attacks and was rushed into the hospital for emergency surgery. My gallbladder is now gone and I am just trying to get by with recovery. Not much of a present, I must say. The nurses were so sweet, they made me a banner and bought me a little gift basket to make the day a little more special. It's been a few days now, and I am starting to eat soft solids again. The pain still stinks, but Travis laughs at his "tweaking" wife and her pills ;)

So there you have it... the next installment in the Anderson health Drama..... ha ha,.
Well I'll tell you all more, when I am not so out of it, and the room stops spinning ;)

Celtic Women

So on Saturday Travis and I went to see Celtic Women at Kingsbury HAll! Wow, what a show. We had such a good time and the music was incredible! They had a band open for them called the "4 Kings" thay were a really fun group, but the real music was the ladies. What amazing voices!!!! I was blown away! Travis had such a good time and I was so glad we were able to do something that he loves so much. He's such a sucker for celtic music!

Health Update

For those of you that knew, I have been struggling with my health lately; ever since October it's gotten pretty bad. We've had a few scares, and some scary words used by our doctors, but recently we have received some decent news. I don't have cancer, in fact my symptoms are not one big scary thing at all, it's just a handful of simple things. I do know that I have Gallstones and will be having my Gallbladder removed. They are still doing some tests and we will know shortly what is wrong with my esophagus. I have already done the Barium Swallow test ( I have a hiatal hernia - yesh) and the Endoscopy showed no tumors! Yay! But it also made the doc have some more questions, he thinks the top of my esophagus is looser than the bottom half.... thus I choke on water and get food stuck etc.... I have another test tomorrow, I'm sure all will be well. But there you have it, my update, for those of you that wanted to know.

Alrighty then, have a good day we'll chat later.

Sentimental Moment

In this world of uncertain times, rising gas prices and soaring inflation, it's easy to get caught up in the frustration of it all.

I'm just soo grateful for my incredible family and friends, and the amazing adventure this all has been; so far. I know it sounds corny but whatever comes, as long as we're together - I'm beyond blessed. I hope we all take a minute to hug our kids a bit longer and read them "one more" bedtime story. Look at our spouses as the Lord does, be fiercely loyal to them and abundantly supportive.

I really think this is the greatest time ever to be alive and am so glad to have this opportunity grow stronger, together.

Ok, I'll get off my soap box now, I love you all!

Everything old is new again....

Easter, what a treat! It's funny to me how the traditions of my childhood come alive as I see my children experience them! We went to an easter egg hunt at my best friend Karinne's house - CRAZY! There were dozens of kids there and dear, sweet Gideon was so brave; he played and jumped in with all of them. He was most proud of his cute blue egg he had dyed and the bag stuffed to the brim of easter eggs he had found in the hunt. (we had to give some away, he grabbed too many! :)
Then on Sunday we had sooo much fun watching him and Dukes (Luca) search for eggs, books and toys in my mother's yard! My mom gave our family a bean-bag-toss game; Bryan (Helga's hubby) was more excited than the boys to try it out! They had such a good time playing together, Luca just kept trying to lay on the game.....memories...he he

What more could you want in a holiday?... Spiritual stories, Family togetherness and a killer meal prepared by someone else... Heaven:)

Happy Easter Everyone!!!

Graveyards are the worst!

WOW! Ok so we're switching to graveyards over here, and let me just say.... yikes! Today has been non-stop! Not much has happened over the last few days. Gideon had his outrageous birthday party!!! It was soo much fun! I would love to show you pics, but dummy-mom forgot her camera! I am expecting a few to be e-mailed..... I hope!

I can't believe he's 5! I'm starting to feel a bit old, I have to admit. Next year he'll be off to kindergarten, and I'll have to have another one to keep my mind off how old he is getting. There's just something about your first born.

Luca is a laugh riot right now! He is really starting to let his personality show, and man he cracks us up with his antics. He still doesn't talk, but man can he put on a show! He'll turn is circles, and dance, (try to) jump around and beats up on his brother who is easily twice his size! He is in love with Travis and only wants him 24/7. I love it!

Well that's us today! See ya when we see ya!

we're gonna be disfellowshiped... i just know it!

ok, we'll try this again, I'm pretty new to this whole blog thing... I can't imagine why anyone would care what we're up to, but I've been told It be nice if we came into the 21st century. ;)

So let's see, today - we went to church, well spoke in church to be more specific. Travis and I we're asked to speak on parenting righteous children... HA!!!! I know, we laughed too! Well they got what they paid for, cuz it was a circus!

My talk.... rediculous, my oldest is 5.... need I say more? Then Trav got up there, and he was awesome... great comments..... then, he swears! Yeah, from the stand! I was so embarassed! He said Damn right there at the pulpit... the best part is that this time (yeah, he's done it before) he caught himself, and appologized... oh everyone was laughing.... he even worked it into the message later in his talk... it was classic Travis! Then as I'm starting to think the worst is over.... Luca starts crying... loudly! I take him out into the foyer, but he was hysterical... only wanted Dad. I thought I hear travis ending, so I tell Luca I'll take him to Dad, he stops immediately (how would that be? ) we go back in, only to see Trav still talking, Luca pushed me away and runs to his father... Travis had to finish up while holding him the whole time! It was a train wreck!

The silver-lining..... we won't get asked to speak again! ugh!
